Annual Gull Lake Sunfish Race Around the Island – Sunday, September 29, 2024 (1:30 PM ET Start)
Every year near the end of the season we gather for the race around the island on Gull Lake. The race starts on the north end of the lake. You can round the island in either direction and the first fish back to the start/finish line wins bragging rights for the whole year.
All monohull sailboats are welcome! We will have a Portsmouth start 5 minutes after the sunfish. Of course, like our season series, if we get 3 centerboard boats of another class we will add a starting sequence for additional racers.
We will gather at NEDS after this event for food, drinks, and lively conversation. Come. Enjoy!
